There are a lot of activities going on with respect to international awareness and recognition of the OPC technology.   I'm very excited about the work going on with IEC.   If you did not know, the OPC UA technology is currently being standardized through IEC.   Currently the first three parts of UA have been successfully released as IEC standards,  and I expect the rest of the OPCUA specification to be released through IEC by the end of December 2010.
