This week the OPC Board of Directors approved three new appointments to the OPC TAC.

Bill King,  Schlumberger

Juergen Lange,  Softing

Matthias Damm,  ascolab

I'm sure everyone joins me in welcoming the newest TAC members.  The added resources will be welcome additions indeed as the work associated with the OPC UA role out continues in full swing.  These activities include finalizing the review on the OPC UA Licensing Agreements and assisting the newly formed "OPC UA Accelerated Adoption Working Group'. 

This is the working group that’s been mentioned in previous posts, and is tasked with developing further refinements to the existing OPC UA specifications, documentation and code deliverables in order to streamline the development effort to implement equivalent classic OPC functionality using OPC UA deliverables. 

With finalizing the existing OPC UA Parts and meeting the aggressive schedule of the ‘Accelerated Adoption’ group, the TAC will be particularly busy this year. The OPC UA ball is truly on a full roll now J
